1 Peter 4:10 “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
At Bethany we believe that through volunteerism we are responding to and acknowledging that we have been given particular gifts and those gift should be shared with others. Our Ministries depend on volunteers who feel called and able to fulfill these commitments alongside all other happenings in our lives and not in a way that feels burdensome.
We encourage you to pray for ways that your gifts could fulfill a need of the Bethany Community. We have a variety of ways to volunteer whether its weekly monthly or yearly OR whether its with people property or grounds. Whether it's on our campus or in the community, we value your gifts and time and are here to help you discover where those gifts can create the greatest impact on your Bethany Community.

The Hospitality and Fellowship Ministry at Bethany equips and helps each of us find ways that we can live out our faith. We equip and train people in service. We also provide groups that meet together in Christian fellowship.
This ministry seeks to provide Holy Communion to those who are home-bound.
Embrace Team members offer a friendly welcome to all who enter Bethany for worship. We seek out new worshipers so that we can provide information so that all can become engaged in our faith community. You will see Embrace members at the exterior doors and the Newcomer Nook.
All ages gather on Wednesday nights to eat together, worship, learn and play as we live and love like Jesus! Come serve and grow during meals, while connecting with different ages or during worship.
This group helps to communicate Bethany prayer requests via email. Contact Jean for information or to get involved.

The Worship Ministry at Bethany takes many forms and is essential for our faith’s expression and growth. We warmly welcome you to join in serving and share in this fellowship together. One of the most enriching benefits of being a part of a church is the COMMUNITY. Acts of Service are essential to creating a thriving church and we invite you to get involved! The Worship Team at Bethany has many opportunities so you can find what suits you best. Don’t know where to start? Contact the following leads to learn about service opportunities:
Being a part of the distribution of The Lord’s Supper is an amazing and intimate experience, and a meaningful way to serve the congregation with your time.
Serve on Altar Guild: Contact Kyra
Members of the Altar Guild use their gifts of service and hospitality to ready the altar vestments, prepare communion plates, and clean up following the service.
Become an Usher: Contact
Kyra
The important role of ushering includes greeting worshippers at the doors, providing bulletins, assisting in the distribution of communion and helping to prepare the sanctuary for the next service.
Become a Sacristan: Contact Dave
Sacristan plays a significant role in the worship service itself. Prior to service, the sacristan will straighten and light candles on the altar. During worship the sacristan has the honor to process and recess with the cross and assists with the Lord’s Supper by collecting communion plates.
Become a Lector: Contact the Office
The reading of God’s word is one of the most sacred times during the church service. Lectors meet one time per month to dive deeper into the lessons they will be reading that month.
